For just $10, you'll get 24 hours of access to Bluebikes with free unlocks of classic bikes and ebikes. You can keep a bike out for up to 2 hours at a time. If you're enjoying a long ride and want to keep a bike out longer than 2 hours at a time, it’s only an extra $0.25 per minute. When you choose an ebike you'll pay the normal unlock fee plus $0.25/min for the duration of your ride.
With Bluebikes, you can take a bike out from any station within the system and return it to any other station. It's great for one-way trips and lets you stop to explore on foot before grabbing another bike to get to your next destination. With thousands of bikes across Metro Boston, Bluebikes is the most convenient (and fun!) way to get around.
How to buy a pass:
The easiest way to purchase an Day Pass is through the Bluebikes mobile app. See the instructions for purchasing a pass and unlocking a bike with your smartphone.
If you don't have a smartphone, you can also buy a pass at any station kiosk. See the step-by-step instructions to buy a pass, unlock a bike, and return a bike.
*Please Note: If you incur any usage fees while riding Bluebikes (e.g., if you keep your bike out for longer than 2 hours at a time), your card on file will be charged.
- The fee for a lost or stolen bike is $1,200.
*There is a $25 security hold for Day Passes purchased at any Bluebikes kiosk. The hold will be released within 7 business days.
