Celebrate Earth Week with Free Bluebikes Credits from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts

State’s largest health plan is providing free $15 Bluebikes credits and donating $1 per ride donation to the Environmental League of Massachusetts to support cleaner, healthier communities.

This Earth Week, Blue Cross is making it easier – and more rewarding – to live a sustainable lifestyle, starting with your everyday transportation. As the title sponsor of Bluebikes, Blue Cross is providing a free $15 Bluebikes credit from April 20-26, while supplies last!

The free $15 credit can be on both pedal and ebikes and across the entire Bluebikes system. To access your credit, use code BCBSEARTHWEEK26 in the “Rewards” section of the Bluebikes App. Once redeemed, your $15 credit is valid through December 31 – but act fast, because quantities are limited!

Additionally, for every Bluebikes ride taken during Earth Week, Blue Cross will donate $1 per ride (up to $10,000), to the Environmental League of Massachusetts, a nonprofit committed to preserving the welfareof the environment for future generations.

Just one bike ride a day instead of a car trip can save ~2-3x fewer emissions per distance traveled, according to a study from the Institute of Future Food Systems.

Do your part this Earth Week by skipping the car and hopping on a Bluebike – you’ll help create a cleaner, healthier planet with every pedal!
