This achievement is a testament of our rider community and the expansion of the Bluebikes system, now offering over 5000 bikes (including ebikes) and 200+ stations across 13 municipalities. Bluebikes has become a vital part of the region’s public transit network, providing accessible, eco-friendly transportation while promoting community health and environmental goals.

To celebrate, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is offering free $25 Bluebikes ride credits and $25 discounts on annual memberships! Claim these on October 2nd using the below codes in the Bluebikes App:
● BLUECROSS25 in the rewards section for $25 ride credits that once redeemed can be used through the duration of the year
● BLUECROSS25AM at checkout for $25 off annual memberships through December 31

Our Growth and Impact
We’re proud of how Bluebikes has grown with the help of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and Greater Boston's municipal owners.

Together, we have:
● Increased our fleet size from 1,500 to over 4,500 bikes, including ebikes
● Expanded service to 13 municipalities, up from 4
● Grown our station count by 150%
● Enabled riders to travel over 10 million miles, reducing carbon emissions
● Expanded affordable transportation options with our income-eligible program
